Hot Home and Interior Design Trends for AW19

Now the clocks have gone back, the nights are drawing in and the long hazy days of summer are well and truly passed, we’re fully embracing everything the new season has to offer. We’re loving all the golden yellow and russet tones of the outdoors. And the new season is a perfect time for a home interior revamp. Here’s our pick of the hottest home and interior design trends for AW19.

Urban Minimalist. Functionality and versatility take centre-stage in the first of our AW19 design trends. Small living spaces don’t have to compromise on style. The key to getting this design trend right is creating a feeling of calm in a well-organised space. Muted colours work great for this style. Our Tivva Ladder Shelving Unit in white is perfect for that “barely there” look, while at the same time giving you a beautiful and functional storage solution.

Entomology. Natural history prints are still hot in interior design. Insects, butterflies and beetle prints are bang on trend for AW19. We’re in love with these insect print cushions from Mariëlle Leenders’s Curious Collections

Scandi Noir. We’ve had a long love affair with scandi-style living and that’s set to continue with this modern take on nordic design. Scandi Noir is all about creating a dark and moody palette from navy blues and blacks with matte and powdery finishes. Try the look yourself with our new Hygge Range. Or create a Scandi Noir inspired corner with our Tivva Ladder Corner Shelving in black. This beautiful shelving will put even the most awkward spaces to good use.

Deco Palm. Add a touch of vintage glamour to your home interior with jewel shades and luxe materials. Rich velvets and a hint of gold add to the opulence of this look. This modern twist on the deco style is on trend in interior design for AW19. Our new Kleinn Rose Gold Shelving Unit adds a chic elegance to open shelving, meaning that you can achieve the Deco Palm look in any room.

Living Wall. The mental health benefits of green space is well-known, but can be hard to find in urban areas. So why not create your own green space in your home? Our mesh panels provide the perfect backing structure for making your own living wall using “S” hooks to hold a collection of small plant pots in place. Choose from low maintenance plants, such as succulents, to make your own cool and stylish living wall. Another hot interior design trend for AW19.

Global Influences. You don’t have to have travelled the world to bring the bold tribal prints, Kilim rugs, decorative tassels and detailed embroidery that speak of a nomadic lifestyle in to your home. Another key motif of this AW19 home interior trend is incorporating hand-crafted and raw materials into your design. So think about clay, glass and wood grain as integral to this look. Our Maxximo Cube range are a perfect fit for this design trend. Made from solid oak, the Maxximo cubes offer effortless versatility. Stack several cubes together for a stylish place to display your favourite travel guides, alongside your embellished wood centre bowl and collection of cacti.
